� Medical form which the USCIS designated civil surgeon is required to use was initially revised on 04/08/2008, followed by the USCIS announcement that any I-693 form version earlier than 04/08/2008 should not be used by the civil surgens from May 1, 2008. In the middle of June, the USCIS released again new version form dated 06/05/2008 and announced that the old version other than 06/05/2008 should not be used effective 07/14/2008. July 14, 2008 is tomorrow. However, without a news release, the USCIS form site extended invalid date of forms earlier than 06/05/2008 to 08/01/2008. Please now note that "Previous editions will be accepted only for medical exams conducted before August 1, 2008. Medical exams conducted on or after August 1, 2008, require use of the 06/05/08 edition," according to the form site instruction.
� There was a confusion in June 2008 on the validity of older version form I-9 because the USCIS form site instructed that the older version was not acceptable from certain date. In Vancouver, the USCIS authority confirmed that the form instruction was an error and the USCIS form instruction has since been corrected. It will help tremendously if the USCIS releases an announcement that the current I-693 form instruction is indeed correct and the civil surgeons can use the I-693 forms which are older than 06/05/2008 version can still be used. In the meantime, the civil surgeons and the immigrants should check on the date of the medical examination with the I-693 form site to protect themselves from any changes. The form site indicates that the information was updated on June 26, 2008. One wonders whether the civil surgeons may be better off to start using the 06/05/2008 version form from even now just to avoid any confusion in the future. My lawyer claims she seems to be getting all the information from USCIS and Aila but i cannot believe that she missed this simple one. They don't even realize how it can screw people's careers. If i don't get the application back within 2 weeks, i am screwed forever.

I did consult Murthy....she is good and will give you better solution....few of my friends used her law firm and resolved few complex queries....I have heard from my friend she is very good at document preparartion for real complex problems...
My suggestion is, better go to her office if you are in tri-state area....if you use her service then she will waive $250 in legal fee....

The very first time I went in formals (for my F1 visa). After that I've been to the consulate seven times, and its always been in jeans and t shirt. Next time I'm thinking of going Tarzan style. It will save me the security hassle and will serve as a good respite from the Chennai heat.

Steven brings up a good point about those camera phones. I fear them to a degree. Someone told me recently that they had read/heard advice that when you're using a credit card at a store make sure you keep the numbers covered up. Apparently, people with camera phones have been known to take a picture of your card to get the numbers and expiration date.

I guess it depends on the employer, but usually the employer put the employee on a "Loss Of Pay" status and the employee cannot work or earn until s/he has the renewed EAD card in her/his possession.

I had very very bad experience in Mumbai. I had lost my all documents except passport .Keep ur Documents all the time with you no matter what situation would be. Look for good safe hotel don’t go after chip hotel. One more thing keep all your valuables in secured place.
At consulate experience was pleasant.

Talk to an attorney. Either way it will be money well spent. From what I have heard, these non-compete clauses are very weak and generally unenforceable. Typically, these clauses are applicable for very high level jobs where you may be in a position to benefit a competitor due to your inside knowledge of the current company. Recently, Microsoft had sued one of its senior level employee who left to join Google on the non-compete issue. From what I read the last about it, Google aggressively defended its employee and the case was dismissed.

sent RFE asking that Client letter on the original letter head.
which I couldnt get, but sent the vendor letter stating my duties and date from which started working etc even the copy of the client badge with photo on it is attached in reply to RFE.
But Its denied thats is not enough to prove that you are working at that client place and location. and it seems the employer i.e my h1 company is just token employer.
but I know the clock started from 31st march am in out of status.
will i able wipe out out of status as it effect in future ?
does MTR works or do I need to the appeal ?
What are chances of my transfer ?
Please gurus advise?
